Robert Doane holds a Masters of Oriental Medicine degree in Chinese Medicine and is licensed to practice Acupuncture in the State of Washington. He is board certified in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine.

Robert  and his wife, Anne, started the Acupuncture & Wellness Center, P.S. in Poulsbo in 1998. The clinic rapidly grew and became the largest private Chinese medical clinic in the State of Washington.

Robert also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Physics from the University of Washington, he is a Fellow in the American Academy of Pain Management and has lectured extensively on health throughout Europe, and the United States and India.

Life story:
 

Robert Doane owns and operates the Acupuncture and Wellness Center, P.S. in Poulsbo, Washington (U.S.A.).  Mr. Doane's clinic is believed to be the largest Chinese medical practice in the United States and has been holding that distinction for the past 11 consecutive years.  His clinic routinely treats 100 to 140 patients a day, five days a week.  He runs one of the only residency training programs in the United States for Chinese Medical interns.  Mr. Doane lectures extensively on Chinese Medicine throughout the United States, Europe, and recently in Australia.  He has been invited to speak at hundreds of forums on the benefits of Chinese Medicine and stands as a fellow with the prestigious American Academy of Pain Management. He yearly addresses the conference on the scientific explanation of acupuncture and its usefulness in treating chronic pain. 

 

Mr. Doane holds a degree in physics from the University of Washington and a Masters of Oriental Medicine from Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine.  Mr. Doane spent 10 years of his life as a meditative monastic.  He spent two years in silence and traveled the world as a teacher in the art of deep meditation, initiating over 2000 people in America and India. Mr. Doane then owned and operated KSCI Channel 18 television in Los Angeles and, while there, directed and anchored over 2000 live television programs on health and positive events in world news.  Mr. Doane also owned and operated Falcon Products, an oil brokerage firm, in Houston, Texas.  Upon selling his oil company, Mr. Doane engaged in ocean sailing for a few years on his 65 foot Swan, “Force Nine”.  Mr. Doane has been married for 18 years to his wife, Annemeike, who is from Germany, and together they have two children, Max and Sophia, ages 14 and 16.  Mr. Doane is 69 years old and works 13 hours a day practicing Chinese Medicine.
